Affiliate Leader Focus: Sara Ruble, Affiliate Leader of Helping Parents Heal - Soul Planning

Scott Michael Jessie is my only child and continues to be the center of my world. He was only nineteen when he passed in his sleep while working at a national park in Colorado, from dehydration, strep throat, seizure, and elevation. My world would never be the same. And yet the day after his funeral I received an undeniable sign (we didn’t even know about signs in 1994) and I knew it had to be him. Our “new" relationship has spanned all these years. Scott is my teacher, beyond description. All soul planned. No doubt. 

Six years after he left his body, I heard his words for the first time as he told me to “Build the children’s memorial”. Two times actually, because I didn’t “get it” the first time! And so I did. We now have over 800 memorial bricks in memory of beloved children at our Angel of Hope Children's Memorial in Stow, Ohio. 

As the affiliate leader for the HPH Soul Planning group, my hope is to share that which I have been taught, seen, learned, and experienced within the depths of our continuing relationships with our beloved children. I continue to be in awe of this journey Scott has taken me on. I’ve learned to “Trust the journey’ as he pushed me to  embrace the “new" that was being shown to me. I share these words with you as well in our meetings with open discussions and questions of this new relationship with our beloved children. Always soul planned, with meaning and purpose, yet challenging too. Trust...it always has purpose and meaning…
