Above left is my daughter Ellie who passed away on 9/27/25, four days before her 8th birthday. She had been diagnosed with leukemia at the end of August. One month into treatment, her body went into septic shock, and she died after 2.5 days on life support.
She had the biggest personality, never stopped talking, and was very passionate about art and music (singing and was teaching herself piano). She had just started a dance class one month before she got sick. She was very into girly girl things: pink, purple, unicorns, rainbows, and princesses.
In fall 2024, we adopted a new cat, and Ellie really bonded with the cat, and he loved her and was not very affectionate with others except her. He had a very hard time with her illness and death, often 'spraying,' which is a thing male cats do when stressed.
Ellie always wanted to be in control and tell others what to do. She had autism, and this was a feature of her autism as well as her personality. She told me she wanted to be a dance instructor when she grew up so that she could tell people what to do. In her toddler years, Ellie was not physically affectionate, but starting around 4.5 or 5, this started to change, and she was VERY affectionate with me, her Dad, and my mom especially (Mimi). In the dream visitation that I had around 2 months after she died, she threw her arms around me and squeezed my shoulders so tight.
I love her and miss her so much.
Thank you Kambe
