Our kids are amazing, and so is Amy Utsman!
I wasn’t in the meeting last night, but Elizabeth Boisson reached out to me because we had just spoken that afternoon about starting an HPH Affiliate Group. We had talked about my son Luke, and she told me she had him on her mind for the rest of the day.
Elizabeth just sent me the video, and oh my goodness - that was definitely Luke!
He was the second sweetheart to come through.
He always wanted a Mohawk and to dye his hair. The first picture is of him about a week before his transition, with a green Mohawk (courtesy of Dad).
He is an absolute sweetheart, but very strong-willed and stubborn. He loved hanging out with his dad and his dad’s friends and was very much a “tough guy.”
Amy described him so perfectly: 8 years old, loved to fix his hair the way he wanted (or not at all, lol), a precious, sweet soul, but also stubborn and very strong-willed.
We were always racing to get to school, and now I do the same with his little sister. He even showed her that I’m still throwing a lunch box together right before getting out the door! I’m almost always running late and had just been talking about that with some ladies this morning!
Luke absolutely adores his little sister. He used to carry her everywhere. He loved to hold her and would want to carry her from room to room.
He never wanted to wear a jacket, loved fake tattoos (his dad has a lot of tattoos, and Luke thought he was the coolest guy ever).
We always cuddled, especially at night. We co-slept, and I always like to imagine him cuddling me as I go to sleep, just like he did in his body.
Wow. I really believe Amy was bringing him through and he knew Elizabeth would let me know. That is just so amazing! He is a very strong soul and comes through so clearly to me, our family, and even to my friends, who often send me little signs they receive from him. He’s powerful. I’m so grateful for this group.
