It was wonderful to hear from Lexi through Beth Lynch on February 3rd.

Lexi’s winks I’m in the city all alone, with your daddy on the phone. We are waiting to hear you speak. We asked, we waited, we anticipated… Lexi’s winks. Beth’s reading tonight started with, "I’m seeing a safety pin." Carrie, a safety pin? She called me out Lex!! I had no clue. I asked Dad, "Safety pin?" Dad said, "Clothespin." I had no idea, except then I remembered: earlier today, I was using a fine needle—like a safety pin—to unclog a device. Maybe!? Beth said, "Yes, that makes sense for the clothespin!

Then we meditated for one minute and she said, "I’m seeing a broken back." I asked, "Dad, anything with Lex and a broken back?" Dad said yes, and tears ran down my face. You see, Lexi, Momma hasn’t wanted to know the tragedy you faced. It’s so hard for me to know my baby left that way. I’m sorry. Dad, though—Dad needed to know. He didn’t understand what happened. Dad means protection, and he couldn’t grasp how this happened to you, his most important treasure in life. We always felt safe with Dad, huh?

You know, before I came on tonight, I was crying. Remember? At my office? I said, "Lex, please come see us tonight. Make it known." You called me out again, and first! While there were some things I had to think about or didn't know, your dad did—and you knew he’d be there!

Beth went on and asked about the name Michael. I said that’s my dad, and he’s been having major health issues. And you, Lex, said it’s going to be okay! You said, "Don’t worry, Mom!" Ahh, I needed to hear you say, "I love you, Mom." You did, loud and clear, and I will never walk a day without you. You will come with me! Oh, and thanks for the chills in my office when I was crying.

Beth mentioned the name Alex. Well, as you know, that’s the name I use for so many things for you. Even as I type "Lex," it keeps autocorrecting to "Alex!" Plus, your BFF Alex! So much meaning.

Then Susan (Suzanne)—GMA! You called out GMA, and I can’t wait to tell her. She has been struggling. You were her first grandchild; Grandma Suzanne helped raise you to be the beautiful, precious Lexis you are! I know you wanted her to know you’re still with her. I will make sure she knows, sweet girl!

Beth mentioned "Deena" or "Deanna." At first, I was stumped, but then I realized: it's the good friend I got to meet after you went on, Bryanna. She is so sweet and loves you so much, Lex! We talk almost daily, and it’s always about you.

Beth also mentioned the stars. Your dad and I was just talking about the gift you got him—the star constellation keyring from the day you were born. More proof you are always with us!

Beth also spoke about cheerleading, which comes up a lot. My dancing queen, Lexi-boo! Momma loves you!

Then, two significant, amazing things happened. Before we started, do you remember when I said, "Lex, I’m going to wear the Huggie; please say something about the Huggie!"? Beth said you gave me a hug two times! I took it as a Lexi wink.

Your beautiful eyes were mentioned, too. I’ve been wanting to get a keychain of them; they are mesmerizing. I have them up on my iPad and my heart skips every time I open it. You were so hard on yourself, sweet girl. I wish you saw yourself as I do when I look into those big, bright eyes.

Lastly, the yellow sunflowers or yellow flowers Beth mentioned. The song "Yellow"—as you know, when you moved to heaven, that was the first song you put into my head. I couldn't stop humming it, though I could only remember the word "yellow." I hummed it into my phone and found it: Yellow by Coldplay. I told this story again in our "Signs with Lex" chat because it was stuck in my head all day. It came up in the reading in a different way, but again: Lexi winks, and Momma can breathe! Love you, sweet girl, for always showing up and letting us know you are okay!

With love,

Carrie and Scott Lott
