David Schansberg's Validation with his daughter Lora through Mark Anthony

Mark Anthony, the Psychic Lawyer, did gallery readings for the dads in a Helping Fathers Heal meeting on August 5th. My daughter, Lora, really came through in one of them. He was unbelievable in the zoom meeting. I was blown away by his explanation of collective consciousness communication and that all our children in spirit were like a symphony of energy playing off each other and trying to communicate with their loved ones. As Mark requested, I tried focusing on the possibilities of his clues and not the negatives or immediately saying no.  I did not speak during the meeting as other dads jumped in early, but Lora was very much present.  I just let Mark read for the other dads as their daughters were coming through, too, hitting on a few of the comments/questions. Here are the 11 questions Mark asked.  Lora checked every single box:

1. Mark: I have a young girl/woman who passed after an illness, possibly cancer. Lora was diagnosed at age 17 with a very rare blood cancer called polycythemia Vera. She passed at age 29. She fought fiercely for 12 years. Two other dads jumped on. I just let them run with it.

2. Mark: the blood was involved with this cancer, possibly blood in the uterus or cervix. As Lora’s blood cancer progressed, she had bleeding issues necessitating a hysterectomy because of heavy bleeding and the danger it presented. This really let me know he was talking about Lora as the other girls did not have blood involved.

3. Mark: Rainbows held a major significance for this girl.  Shortly after she was diagnosed Lora came out as gay to her mother and I. She embraced the rainbow and decorated her car and room with them.

4. Mark: she liked candy, but there is something special about Almond Joy.  That was pretty specific. Lora loved her candy but hated Almond Joys. Every year after Halloween trick or treating she would bring me all her Almond Joys because that was one of my favorite candies. I got tears with that memory. She would never give up a Kit Kat or Butterfinger but loved offloading her Almond Joys to her dad.

5. Mark: I see her wearing a mask, possibly snorkeling in a tropical area. I see lots of Angel type fish. Lora chose to go to Hawaii for her Make A Wish trip. Her favorite thing was a snorkeling charter trip we took to a reef loaded with colorful fish and sea turtles. She loved the Angel fish which Mark mentioned. She had an underwater camera and took pictures of the fish. We checked out snorkeling equipment and boogie boards from the hotel and snorkeled a couple of more times. Lora wrote in her Journal snorkeling and boogie boarding was her favorite thing to do on her trip.

6. Mark: she is talking about a Conch shell, possibly blowing it to make a sound. On her Hawaii trip we went to a luau. We were quietly enjoying our meal when there was a loud sound. It was a hula girl blowing on a conch shell to signify the start of the dancing show. Lora asked if that sound was coming from the shell. Amazing!

7. Mark: she is worried about sugar, possibly diabetes. Is there a dad trying to control sugar? I have diabetes and it is a battle to keep my blood sugar low and stable. I was diagnosed a couple of years before Lora passed. She made me promise her I would take care of myself because she was worried about my health of all things.

8. Mark: she is showing me an Injured finger and laughing. A pinkie, possibly. This made me laugh so hard. Lora loved soccer. I coached her team for 10 years. One day after practice she wanted to stay longer and practice shooting. I was in goal and she blasted a shot that jammed or broke the pinkie on my left hand. She so loved giving me crap about that for a long time.

9. Mark: she is saying Blackjack or the number 21. Could be playing cards or a significant number. Lora loved to go to casinos with me, her mom, her siblings and her friends. Her favorite table game was blackjack. And she was way luckier than I ever was. She was a card shark. She often invited friends over to play cards. And in Hospice we played cards almost every day.

10. Mark: she appreciated you making a difficult decision about end of life, not necessarily pulling the plug but helping her. We knew from the start Lora’s cancer was terminal. In early October of 2020 the doctors told us there was nothing more they could do for her medically. They recommended hospice care and refocusing on end-of-life care, pain management and comfort. As a family we reluctantly decided to forego any more aggressive medical measures and go the Hospice route. It was a very hard decision, but it was the right move.

11. Mark: Why is she showing me eagles and a cabin? Lora’s safe place and sanctuary was our lake house. She loved spending time there. We had a pair of eagles on our lake. She loved watching them while we were fishing in the boat. We sometimes fed them fish we caught. Lora loved how they would swoop down from high up in the tree and grab the fish with their talons.

I am overwhelmingly convinced Lora was right there in the meeting with me and the other brave children who, thankfully, let their dads know they were present…beautiful, bold, energetic and loving!  The fact that Lora hit all 11 notes is remarkable in a gallery reading environment.
