It was truly uplifting to hear messages from our children through Kat B, and even more extraordinary for me that my son Alex decided to make an appearance.

Alex passed away on June 14, 2019, in a motorcycle accident, and his memory is cherished every single day.  All day before the call, I spoke to Alex, asking him to come through and provide specific signs so I would know it was him. I even teased, after all, son, you've been in spirit for six years, so you should be capable of doing what I ask and what I need.

Before his appearance, Kat was providing readings for other parents, and some remarkable connections caught my attention. One being a cruise, which I have been coordinating and planning for my husband and me, along with several other couples, for February 2026.

She also spoke of motorcycles, which my son loved and passed away riding. Then she went on to talk about a lively party with many cocktails in June, and we had just celebrated a friend's 50th birthday in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, doing a pub crawl and Tiki boat cruise in June. We had a fantastic time, and Kat shared how proud my son was of me for letting loose and having fun.

She went on to talk about his oldest brother, Shane, who now resides in Alex's old room, and how Shane has a special way of communicating with Alex. Alex described to Kat how humorous Shane is and that he will always be happy and protected. Shane has a medical condition called Fragile X Syndrome, similar to autism, and it was heartwarming to hear that Alex is still looking out for him. Shane often brings up Alex out of the blue, and I have always believed that Alex is speaking to him, but due to Shane's condition, he cannot articulate it to me.

This reading was a beautiful validation of their connection. Kat also mentioned hand gestures, such as 'hang loose' and Snoop Dog, which again provided validation, as Shane always uses hand gestures in photos, and we always laugh about it. Shane is a huge Snoop fan, so for Alex to mention this again was a testament to their bond.

Towards the end, Kat brought up another boy who was a friend of Alex's, who had passed away within two years of him, and this was indeed true. She said he wanted me to know that he is not alone and that he is happy and causing havoc, which is precisely what I have always imagined and hoped for. I shared with Kat that I always picture Alex with a group of boys who have similar interests and passions, running free and wild in heaven (Tyler, Zack, Joe, Xavier, Ty). The song that always comes to mind when I think of this image is 'Give Heaven Some Hell' by Hardy.

All in all, this reading was a truly uplifting experience for me and the others on the call. I am deeply grateful for Kat and others like her who possess this incredible gift of communicating with our loved ones. While it does not diminish the ache of missing them physically, it warms my heart to know that Alex is still with us, more alive than ever, and that he will always be a part of our lives. Thank you again, Kat, and HPH for providing wonderful resources to help us parents navigate this heartbreaking journey.

Have a great evening,

~Jen Latak
