Jessica Baca's Validation with her son Jordan during Gordon Smith's Meditation

During our meditation, my son Jordan told me to look for the number 25 and said, “I need you to get outside.” He knows I tend to stay in when things feel heavy.

I decided reluctantly to step into the yard and start putting a few things away. As I walked, a tiny feather floated down from the roof. 

Thanking Jordan, my mind still had doubt, human nature, I suppose. As I opened Facebook, one of his best friends had just posted a photo celebrating his 21st birthday… standing in front of a sign that read 25 years.

I had just been thinking about how much Jordan would’ve loved to be there with him.

It’s easy to call things like this coincidence, but moments like these touch this mama’s heart. I choose to believe. I’m open.
