At the end of Kathi Behrens’ gallery reading, she was wrapping up, telling us how all our children are here with us. She paused and asked if she could do one more because she had a little girl trying to connect. She mentioned a child who was buried with a stuffed animal. Leona and I were selected along with Heather and her son Axel. As soon as Heather said her son’s name, I gasped. Leona’s friend at school was named Axel and she would practice saying his name over and over again.

Kathi mentioned Leona’s curls, how much she was learning before she passed, and how bright she was. Leona was surpassing all her milestones and talking well above her age range, she observed all her surroundings and was really blossoming into herself. Kathi asked Heather about a necklace with Axel’s photo, I too was wearing a necklace with Leona’s picture within the charm.

During the reading, Kathi asked if we had angels on the mantel for Leona. I said no but afterwards, I remembered we have an angel candle that was gifted to us by affiliate leader Yen Danielson (thank you Yen!), this angel sits beside Leona’s framed photo. Leona’s aunt also placed a tiny angel stone at her grave!

Kathi told me to be on the lookout for butterflies, I noticed one flying yesterday but didn’t think much of it. As soon as our gallery reading ended, a friend texted me pictures of butterflies- I guess I’ll be on the lookout for more!

Kathi asked if Leona was a sister and I said not yet, she said, “I am going to be a big sister!” To be continued on that!
