Hello, I just wanted to share my story from today’s reading with Pauline Mason. Pauline described a young man who had a pretty girlfriend and may have struggled with alcohol and substances and lived in a home with stairs. He had also been asking for some help. This resonated for me and Pauline gave some additional validation, including asking if my son (Spencer) liked to dance, specifically breakdance?
Well, I couldn’t answer on the breakdancing, but knew for sure he never stopped singing or dancing, and he especially loved rap music, which I felt tied in. We did live in a home with stairs, and that directly related to when we found him. And she asked specifically about red flowers. I often cut fresh flowers and have them in my house. I now remember that my mom has a specific flower for him. A red rose. She also asked about day-lilies which I do have in my yard.
She asked if someone in the family was dealing with a shoulder problem. My uncle, whom I had just seen two days prior, was discussing his neck surgery that caused him to lose movement in his left shoulder. Spencer, no doubt was listening in on the conversation! She also asked about a large group of motorcycles or people riding and at the moment I couldn’t recall, but said that Spencer had his own motorcycle which he loved. And then later remembered that every year there is a group who rides for parents who’ve lost loved ones due to substance use, and their motorcycle ride was in August. They carry photos of all individuals and I had just downloaded them last week.
I just have to add this...I was reading my email and your response to my husband and all of a sudden we heard this deep gonging/chiming. We have had a thunderstorm here today and crazy weather. I asked my husband if he was hearing the noise and we ran to the front porch where we have a windchime. During the whole day, with the crazy weather, I never heard it. And honestly in 6 years owning this house have never heard it chime. It went off loudly when I was sharing the story and hasn’t done it since. We thought it could be the wind…but it was only the one time. We both said “Spencer.” And then I remembered the first validation today, the family had a wind-chime in their story. I know Spencer was happy we shared our connection with Pauline.
