Please join me, Kathy MacMannis, Rosanne Groover Norris, Patti May, and Irene Vouvalides in welcoming Carrie Lott, who will be our newest Affiliate Leader in Conneaut, OH. We are thrilled that she is part of our team!
About Carrie:
Hi there! I’m Carrie- mom to the incredible Lexi (my only beautiful daughter), wife to my soulmate, nurse by trade, and professional cat cuddler (we have two). Lexi was 22 when she transitioned in July, and while life looks very different now, I still feel her all around me—especially when birds sing extra loudly, the lake sparkles just right, or a song pops on at the perfect time. She has shown me the light and that I hold onto.
We traveled the country as a family—Alaska and Hawaii were our favorite—and now I find peace in simple things: lake views from my car, aimless drives, and watching the world slow down. One of my favorite memories is Lexi picking wildflowers for my wedding bouquet in Alaska, only for us to find out later that it was illegal to pick them! We laughed so hard at that one.
My husband is walking his own path of healing, and while it’s not always easy, we lean on each other and find comfort in shared memories and moments of peace. I’m here with Helping Parents Heal to offer support and connection to other parents, knowing that though we grieve, our children are still with us in the most beautiful ways.
