NEW AFFILIATE LEADER - Jessica Machetta takes over for Barb Roth in Erie/Boulder

Please join me, Kathy MacMannis, Patti May, Rosanne Norris, and Irene Vouvalides in welcoming our newest Affiliate Leader, who will be replacing Barb Roth in Erie/Boulder, Jessica Machetta! We will miss you, Barb, but hope you will be starting a group in Pennsylvania!
Jessica Machetta is a teacher for gifted and talented middle- and high-school students in Denver, Colorado, moving from St. Louis in 2017 to shift gears after 23 years as a journalist. She grew up on a farm in Mid Missouri and has also lived in the Florida Keys, among other places.
Her youngest daughter, Macy, “leveled up” – as she likes to call it – in 2023; she was the victim of a murder suicide at age 20.
Jessica tried several support groups before finding that Helping Parents Heal resonated most with her on this journey and aligned with her belief system as to how this crazy universe works.
Her oldest daughter Claire and granddaughter Colette live in St. Louis and are absolutely her solid rocks and fellow warrior women together on this path.
Jessica finds inspiration, peace, and yes, even joy, adventuring in nature, music, taking long rides with her husband Mike on his Harley, spending time with their two dogs and silly flock of backyard chickens.
She hopes to bring comfort and companionship – with Macy’s loving and compassionate spirit – to others who march this earth in these shoes no one wants to wear. Her mantra in life has always been, no matter what, to simply love more, and she hopes to share that with others and continue to grow with the HPH community.
The Erie/Boulder group meets every third Tuesday of the month in person at Unity of Boulder Spiritual Center. Doors open at 6:00pm. The meeting is from 6:30-8:00pm. There will also be a live Zoom link to the meeting posted on the Erie/Boulder facebook page for those who cannot join us in person. These meetings are not recorded.
