Please join me, Kathy MacMannis, Patti May, Rosanne Norris and Irene Vouvalides in welcoming our newest Affiliate Leader, who will be co-leading HPH-Parents of Infants, Toddlers, and Young Children with Sylvia Gonzalez, Yen Danielson!

Yen Danielson

Being a mom has been the greatest gift of my life.
My only child, Mia Marsha Do Danielson, taught me more than I ever imagined during her short time on Earth. Even though she is no longer here physically, Mia continues to guide me through the hardest moments of my life. Her love helps me find purpose and meaning as I move forward—until the day I can hold her in my arms again.

Mia sends me beautiful signs—hearts, images like a dog in the sky, and numbers connected to our birthdays—reminders that her spirit is still with me. These signs are her way of letting me know she’s near, still loving and encouraging me.

Through Helping Parents Heal, I’ve learned how to honor my child in a positive way and connect with others who understand this journey. The group has not only helped me heal, but has inspired me to support other parents, especially those in Vietnam, who are navigating the same deep grief.

I don’t want to be seen only as a grieving mother, but as a shining light mom—a mother my daughter would be proud of. I want to live in a way that reflects her love, her light, and her ongoing presence in my life.

Sylvia Gonzalez Gee

My name is Sylvia Gonzalez Gee, I am the mother of two precious children, my daughter Sofia and my son in spirit Sebastian Gee. On July 13, 2021 my youngest and only son Sebastian transitioned at the age of 10. During his short time on this side of life, Sebastian touched everyone that he met with his huge smile, magnetic personality, and shining spirit. On the last year before completing his mission on earth, he gifted me with what I now realize were signs of what was to come and these experiences along with his dream visitations have helped sustain me as I navigate this journey of grief.  Every day I cry, but most days I also laugh and love and experience moments of joy as I feel his presence and work to transform my pain into purpose in honor of my baby boy. To share this sacred space with other mothers who have walked this road brings tears to my eyes and love to my heart.
