PRODUCTION UPDATE - MESSAGES IN THE SILENCE

Our inaugural shoot begins next week in Miami
Next week, we officially begin filming, and our first story will feature Chris and Carla Sloan in Miami.
Carla is the Miami Affiliate Group Leader for Helping Parents Heal, and together she and Chris created Caleb & Calder’s Awesome Foundation after the heartbreaking passing of their young son, Calder “Mr. Awesome” Sloan, in 2014. In the wake of Calder’s transition, they transformed their grief into something deeply loving and purposeful: a 501(c)(3) nonprofit honoring Calder’s spirit of Adventure, Laughter, and Kindness by supporting disadvantaged children and kids coping with death and profound life challenges.
What began as a way to carry Calder’s joyful legacy forward has grown into meaningful programs, partnerships, and community events centered around service before self, rooted in the Sloan family’s belief that helping others is one of the most powerful ways to honor a child’s life. We are deeply honored to help share their story.
The wheels are turning
Behind the scenes, we’ve made tremendous progress. Every organization and individual we’ve spoken with so far has been aligned, supportive, and energized about the film. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and it’s clear this message resonates.
We are actively gathering many stories for the documentary, and we are inspired by this community's willingness to share experiences, signs, hope, and healing. The machine is running, the conversations are happening, and we are excited about where this is headed.
Seed&Spark campaign coming soon
We are also preparing to launch our Seed&Spark crowdfunding campaign in the coming months. When the time comes, we would be grateful for your support in sharing it with your communities. For now, please stay tuned; more updates are coming soon.
