Shelly Wilson led a gallery reading for our WNC & Beyond group on December 2, 2025. Twenty-two parents joined us, and seven received messages from their children—beautiful validations that often touched all of us on the zoom call.
At one point, Shelly saw three young men standing together. Shelly immediately recognized my son, Ryan, since she has brought through messages from him before. She shared with the group that Ryan helped bring in the two other young men, all three loved hiking, and Shelly described them vividly—wearing Peruvian alpaca hats, tank tops, and shorts on a mountain. Shelly knows I am also in HPH Mountain Mamas and asked if any of those members were on our call. I told her no. Shelly didn’t know the other two boys and felt like they were in their twenties or early thirties. We later learned that one of them was Lucas, the son of Lisa Banks, who had attended our HPH New Member meeting just the night before. This is a validation for me that Ryan sits in on all my HPH meetings and I’m grateful he helped bring in two friends.
Ryan told Shelly he’s proud of the way I’m supporting others on their healing journeys. I’m currently enrolled in David Kessler’s Grief Educator Certification program; Ryan can see the time and heart I’m putting into it. In addition to letting me know he’s sending me love and hugs, his message was simple and powerful: “You’re helping others heal, and it’s creating a ripple effect.”
