Sheresa & Brian Galbreath's Validation with their son Michael through Kathi Behrens

Our son Michael came through on the most recent gallery reading with Kathi Behrens. Everything she started talking about was spot on: he had a sudden transition (he took his own life on May 3, 2024); he was 23 years old, had dark hair (most of the time, he dyed it often), he listened to a lot of hip hop and rap type music. He played video games all the time, with World of Warcraft and Minecraft being his favorites. The number 11 is for the Cardinals jersey he wore to the games we went to with the number on them (see attached picture).
He then went on to talk about having to get through today and today being important. Earlier this day, Brian was in his truck and asked Michael to come through on the gallery reading tonight, since we had been planning to attend anyway. Just as Brian was talking to Michael about this, there was a reflection on the passenger seat next to him that had no earthly way to be there. Michael was saying, of course Dad.
Michael did have a peculiar sense of humor. Kathi mentioned turkeys, well Michael is a huge fan of Thanksgiving. It was always his favorite holiday, between the food and being all together with family.
Kathi then mentioned boxes. We have very slowly been cleaning up his room and trying to make it a memorial room, with all of his favorite items on the walls. We have been packing up a lot of the clothing and stuffed animals for donation to the Arizona Humane Society’s thrift store, since that is where he worked. We did find a huge Bull head mask, almost like a mascot helmet. We have no idea what it went to.
The music connection is very strong. I have a whole playlist of all of Michael’s favorite artists and listen to it when I want to feel closer to him. I can almost feel him next to me listening too. Kathi mentioned him being very philosophical and has a new understanding, almost an awakening. This tracks as well. I have been listening to all of the podcasts I can find about the life after we pass to connect with him. I feel like this has helped him to grow as well. One of the podcasts is “The Awakened Way”, so it was funny that Kathi mentioned “awakening”.
His cat Charcoal is definitely with him. That was his baby. We thought Kathi was talking about Brian’s Grandma, but it became clear after we were off camera that it was actually my Grandma Jean. I have had a couple meditations with her recently and she was definitely not a cat person. So for Kathi to say “she even likes the cat” gives us the validation they are together, as I had hoped.
Kathi mentioned the hand drawn picture. We have two that his former partner drew for him. One of them is very significant with a quote “Don’t lose your fight kid” that he was going to have tattooed, but never got to it. We plan on having these framed to include in his memorial room.
The unicorn. We could not for the life of us think what this was during the reading. However. We now know, it is the unicorn I have on my home office desk that Michael gave me for Mother’s Day a few years ago. I keep it close by all the time, see the picture.
Kathi mentioned the letters that Brian has written to Michael. Brian wrote one that we put in his niche at the cemetery that said things he never really said while Michael was alive. So it would make sense that Michael acknowledged it.
Kathi then talked about food and dinners. We had just had tacos the last two nights for dinner. He loved tacos. It was one of the meals we could get him out of his room to come eat with us! He also loved sweet potatoes and anything Thanksgiving. Anytime I cook sweet potatoes, I kind of cheers him with them.
Sorry this got so long-winded, but Kathi was spot on with everything and I wanted to provide all of the validations! We do know Michael has found the peace in spirt that he couldn’t find on this side. It is nice to hear that he will always be right here and is connecting with so many others.
