I attended the Gallery Reading with Susan Allen on April 16th. 

Susan said, "Can anyone connect with James and a German shepherd?"  When Jamie was small, we had a Shepherd mix named Amy. Jamie chose Amy at the Humane Society because it looked like a dog that Mike, my husband, had.  So I thought my son Jamie was with me BUT I have 2 James in spirit-Jamie and my father who Jamie was named after. Let the confusion begin.......

My mom came through first saying we look alike. We really do! Today, I got a haircut and used AI to try on styles. My mom's bob haircut was one that AI put on me. So since I started looking at haircuts, mom's been on my mind. Because with that style , it was like looking at my mom! The stylist and I spoke about it at my appointment today as I showed her the photo.   I bet my mom was there and coming through today was her way of showing me she was!  She loved the beauty shop!   So I'm not surprised she met me there! The medium, Susan Allen, said she saw mom surrounded by books and asked who the reader was. Both of us are but mom was a librarian. She asked me if I liked to shop. I hate it but mom is an epic shopper! Legendary! So much so that I had a joke about how much mom shopped in her eulogy! Susan said she had a good sense of humor -she really did.

She said James blew a kiss. Jamie never did that but Mom, Dad and I did that as they lived in another state and we spoke over the computer/Alexa all the time and that's how we signed off. Now at night, I blow Jamie's picture a kiss.

She said I lived with James but she couldn't figure out the relationship.  Jamie was living with us when he passed.

Susan said James had a bad shoulder. My son, Jamie had an issue once in a while but DAD had the bad shoulder.  Susan said James drank a lot of coffee to combat fatigue. Jamie liked iced coffee and energy drinks but dad drank black coffee all day. She said James was massaging my shoulders. My son James didn't do that but my dad did when we were kids washing the dishes!! She mentioned that James gave advice to sit up straight and not hunch over. Jamie wouldn't say that but my dad always talked to us about our posture!

She asked if James was my husband. This confused me and I said no.   Susan said James handed you a diamond. I was focused on a ring since she asked if he was my husband. No Jamie never did that.  But my DAD did buy me a diamond-but they were earrings!! My dad took us to a jeweler and let us each choose a piece of diamond jewelry before he got really sick. He wanted all of us to have something from just him.  

I wanted to hear from Jamie so badly that I didn't recognize my dad at first! The whole time Susan was talking about my father!  Sorry Dad! It took until after the reading to realize it was not James-Jamie but James my dad we were talking about the whole time! It was the diamond that made me figure it out.

At the end of the reading, Susan said the person I wanted to hear from the most had stepped back.  That's when everything clicked. Jamie got my attention with the dog then stepped back. Jamie brought my mom and dad through today. Turn about as my Dad used to bring Jamie through in the beginning right after Jamie passed and then he would fade back so Jamie could speak.

We found this pic of my mom and dad on the beach looking through pics for mom's memorial. To me it looks like they're heading off to heaven after one last goodbye look at us.
