Validation with John Holland at the Helping Parents Heal Fourth Conference
“A HALF-MILE CLOSER TO THE MOON” 🍒
During John’s session at the conference, I asked him a question. Then John asked me what sign I receive from my son, Hugh.
I told him 'Cherries.'
John told me that I would receive a sign involving cherries that weekend, letting me know that Hugh was there.
And then this happened…
That night after the book signing, my husband Hugh and I were walking back to our room in the Pima wing on the third floor. We walked down a long hallway with no one else in sight.
As we turned a 90-degree corner, we met an HPH dad and his son coming from the other direction—arriving at that exact corner at the exact same moment. They were returning from working out, and the son was wearing a Cherry Dr Pepper shirt!
Kabam! Exact place. Exact moment.
They told us that just a few minutes earlier, two women had stopped them and said, ‘There are the cherries that woman is looking for!’
Who would have thought that the timing and place would collide so perfectly? I was so flabbergasted that I didn’t even think to take their picture or get their names—but there were hugs and gratitude all around that they had delivered this beautiful sign from our boy!”
And the cherries weren’t finished yet.
The very next day, a bag of cherries mysteriously appeared in the Akimel lobby. Lisa Wilcoxson took a photo of them and even included it in her presentation.
And what was written across the front of that bag of cherries?
“A HALF-MILE CLOSER TO THE MOON.”
Seriously…who names a bag of cherries A Half-Mile Closer to the Moon?
